Owner and Lead Planner
Meet Christine McDevitt
Christine McDevitt is the Founder and Lead Planner of CM Event Design, a boutique wedding and event planning studio serving Chicago, South Florida, and Nashville, with destination celebrations across the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe.
Her path to planning runs through more than two decades inside the hotel industry. She started at the front desk and worked her way up through guest services leadership before moving into catering sales with Starwood Hotels. From there she led social catering at Sonesta International Hotels in the Boston area, then spent six years in Las Vegas with MGM Resorts International, planning high-end weddings and events at properties including The Mirage and Bellagio. She founded CM Event Design in April 2019.
That operator’s background is the foundation of how she plans. Christine has sat on the venue’s side of the table for hundreds of weddings, which is why her clients get an advocate who reads every contract, negotiates with vendors from experience, and knows what a venue can actually do. She works directly with every couple from first conversation through the final send-off.
Christine is a former President of the Music City Chapter of the National Association for Catering & Events (NACE), and currently serves as Director at Large, Special Projects for the NACE Greater Chicago Chapter and on the NACE National Membership Committee. She is a three-time NACE ONE Awards Wedding of the Year nominee. As a Travel Advisor with Fora Travel, she integrates travel, accommodations, and guest logistics directly into destination wedding planning.

Meet Regan Aycock
Regan Aycock is an Anchorage, Alaska native who packed up her boots and moved to Nashville for college. While attending Belmont University she found a love for live events and hospitality. In 2023, Regan began her career in the wedding industry as part of a luxury venue sales team before moving into planning and coordinating. She loves all weddings, micro to massive, and will absolutely never pass up a destination event.

Christine leads each celebration with a calm, thoughtful presence, guiding the process from the earliest decisions through the final moments of your wedding weekend. On the day itself, that vision is carried through by a trusted team of experienced professionals working quietly behind the scenes, each carefully selected and aligned with the standard of service CM Event Design is known for.
From managing the timeline to anticipating needs before they arise, the team allows the day to unfold effortlessly, so you and your guests can be fully present in every moment.
